The American Council for World Jewry, together with the American Forum for Russian Jewry, Russian Ambassador Sergei I. Kislyak, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Russell, and various important members of Congress, will be meeting on Capitol Hill today to discuss US/Russia relations.
The American Council for World Jewry and the Anti-Defamation League will honor His Excellency Abdoulaye Wade, President of the Republic of Senegal in conjunction with the opening of the U. N. General Assembly in New York City. President Wade will be presented with the International Friendship Award in recognition of his leadership and commitment to interfaith dialogue and religious tolerance and for lending his voice to the fight against anti-Semitism, bigotry and prejudice.
For the second time in three weeks, the Council for World Jewry has provided a forum to former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf to discuss with key U.S. foreign policy experts the troubled relationship and challenges faced by the United States and Pakistan.
President Musharraf will discuss the subject of "The Future of U.S.-Pakistan Relations." There are few subjects as timely and consequential to American national security, and President Musharraf is uniquely suited to offer a very important perspective to enhance our understanding of the many challenging issues that face both countries.
